Unified Communications Support
Sr. Unified Communications Engineer (5 years)
Description:
At least five (5) years of experience with IT systems and technology in a telecom environment
which includes both Legacy switching and the Unified Communications technologies.
Knowledge and experience with configuration and maintenance of: gateways, routers, switches,
firewall, DNS, DHCP, network servers platforms, TDM, Dialogic, VoIP systems (SIP, H.323
protocols, dial peers, and VoIP carrier trunking). Sample Duties: Provides support in the
translation of business requirements into Unified Communications (e.g., LAN, CAN, WAN, voice
and video) requirements, designs and orders. Designs supporting cable/wiring infrastructure for
construction projects that includes voice, data, video and wireless. Provide oversight to IVR, and
Contact/Call Center support. Provide in‐depth engineering analysis of Unified Communications
alternatives for government public safety agencies in support of strategic modernization efforts
and Unified Communications enhancement design for medium and large scale
telecommunication infrastructures to include 9-1-1. Develop recommendations and supporting
metrics. Provide overall program management services including making presentations to
national, state and local officials.
 
VTC Engineer (3 years) (Intermediate Level)
Description:
At least 3 years experience in Audio and Video installation and maintenance. Monitor and
maintain AV equipment. Activate and deactivate, recover and correct VTC resources. Create,
report, track and close VTC service trouble tickets. Provide technical support and troubleshoot
any problems on Audio and Visual equipment. Monitor live stream video quality and manage
digital media. Conduct meetings and virtual face to face gatherings. Provide oversight to
contractors on cabling and VTC installs.
 
Business Systems Analyst (3 years) (Intermediate Level)
Description:
Collect data and understand patterns, trends and development strategies. Provide assessment
and improvement of company systems to ensure that a business works in efficient way. Provide
management on Market Research. Perform systems analysis and define requirements and
specification on Unified Communications, that includes Voice, Video, 911 and Computer
Systems solutions. Identify areas of improvement and best practices with users, project team
members or senior managers on new technologies and existing software/hardware platforms
for organizational needs. Write up technical requirements and processes. Provide training and
support to users and staff.
 
 
IVR (Programmer Analyst) (3 years) (Intermediate Level)
Description:
Provide IVR, Contact and Call Center support to agencies and staff. Provide, plan and design
Visio diagrams for call flows. Analyze business processes issues and problems for consultant
assistance and system users. Conduct systems test, measurements of the systems ability to
manage applications. Provide visual aid to demonstrate call handling and information resources
to organizations. Provide maintenance and support to agencies on troubleshooting and system
outages. Provide self service transactions, live support on issues and application errors.
 
Telecommunications Analysts (5 years) (Senior Level)
Description:
Telecommunications Analysts At least five (5) years of experience in telecommunications system
analysis and design; programming; and program design of billing, trouble ticket management,
service order entry, and/or configuration management systems supporting operations of
government and public safety agencies. Sample Duties: Planning, analysis, design, development,
and maintenance of telecommunications systems; analysis in support of telecommunications
support functions including billing, trouble ticket management, service order planning and
analysis efforts using both manual and automated tools
 
Telecommunications Field Engineer (3 years) (Intermediate Level)
Description:
"At least three (3) years of telecommunications system experience involving requirements
definition, identification, and analysis of alternative designs, and acquisition support involving
telecommunication systems and/or services. Define state‐of‐the‐art telecommunications
systems for government and public safety telecommunications systems. Sample Duties:
Planning, analysis, design, development, programming, maintenance and trouble shooting of
telecommunications systems; Identify potential problems and solutions through analysis
identifying recommended solutions."
 
 
Unified Communication Senior Network Engineer (5 years)
Description:

translation of business requirements into telecommunications (e.g., LAN, CAN, WAN, voice and
video) requirements, designs and orders. Designs supporting cable/wiring infrastructure for

Telecommunications Operations Specialist (3 years) (Intermediate Level)
Description:
At least three (3) years of experience in the supervision of telecommunications operations and
personnel and demonstrated use and understanding of telecommunications systems and other
applications systems supporting telecommunications business functions to include 9-1-1.
Sample Duties: Analyze information requirements of public safety communications centers,
emergency operations centers, 9‐1‐1 public safety answering points, and/or call centers. Must
be able to evaluate problems in work flow, organization, and planning and develop
recommendations for operational improvements.
 
Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer (5 years)
Description:
Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification required. At least five (5)
years of experience with IT systems and technology in a telecom environment which includes

Technical Project Manager (2-4 years)
Description:
Conducts planning, coordination, and tracking of information technology projects and full
lifecycle tasks; examples include assess customer requirements and advise on appropriate
solutions; identify technology solutions and conduct assessment of fit; identify resources;
facilitate and direct multidisciplinary teams; plan, develop schedules using project management
systems, assess risks, track progress, develop dashboards, and coordinate resources; manage
solution vendor/implementer tasks, estimate costs and manage project budgets; report on
project progress. Provides analysis and consultation and works with county IT staff in
development of appropriate supporting infrastructure and all integration issues to include
security and recovery.
 
 
Technology Trainer/Writer (2-4 years)
Description:
Develops training plans and materials, and user documentation that use both generic and job
specific examples. Create step-by-step guided instructions and practice examples that hone
participants’ skill and confidence using the intended application. Conduct technology training
sessions; be able to resolve level-one computer glitches that occur in a lab environment security
communication plans as required and directed by designated County staff. Also translates
designs and programs to documentation
 
Administrative Analyst (2-4 years)
Description:
Education: Undergraduate, advance degree, professional certification or equivalent combination
(education/experience). Basic Experience: Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in the
government or IT sector, specifically focused on overseeing and enhancing organizational
administrative functions. This includes responsibilities such as maintaining records, analyzing
data, managing budgets, and implementing process improvements to drive operational
efficiency. Sample Duties: Develops requirements from a project’s inception to its conclusion in
the subject matter area for communications and/or information technology systems. Perform
technical analysis and evaluation, preparation of technical specifications, system budgets,
project timelines and benchmarks and with the preparation of recommendations for system
improvements, optimization, development, and/or maintenance efforts. Provide overall
program management services including making presentations to national, state and local
officials
 
 
Documentation Specialist (2-4 years)
Description:
Education: Associates degree in business or related field, or equivalent combination
(education/experience). Basic Experience: two (2) years’ experience in preparing technical
documentation, including conducting research in specific technology, information systems, and
communications specialties. Sample Duties: Coordinate and participate in collection,
interpretation, writing and dissemination of technical documentation in support of
communications and information systems projects; establish procedures for data acquisition
and administration; translate technical information into clear readable documents to be used by
technical and non-technical audiences. Write and edit procedural manuals for users; create and
maintain on-line tutorials and learning materials.
